Well we don't know about the period when technology will be against humans but we know that's too long.
The people from the past, from computer beginning age, probably never thought that the computer they made consuming almost 1 large room would one day in our hand consuming only 2 inch space.
Yes , we are talking about smartwatches.
They are very new in tech market.
Currently they are being priced over 12000 - 15000 INR.
Being a extension to smartphone, these watches does lot of more things.
Infact, they have their own dedicated app store.
Google while demonstrating smart watches at google I/O 2014 made the watch to do some tasks like ordering pizza from remote corner of city.
Anyway, we are discussing about shapes in which smartwatches are available currently.
There are basically 3 shapes available at this moment.
- Rectangular shape
These are most common shape and expected before even release of smart watch.
Since smartphones are basically rectangular in shape, the watches were also supposed to be rectangular shape.
But not now. Now its the thing of past.
Initially made watches including Samsung Galaxy gear live running Google's Android wear os and other Samsung watches running Tizen os are build in rectangular shape.
Some other heavy competitors like LG also have made watches like LG G watch running Android wear os, featuring rectangular shapes.
- Round shape
Now this shape is star in all , right now. Nobody expected that round smart watches will be smart enough to take over on rectangular one.
While Google IO' was going, Google announced 3 smart watches including
1. Motorola moto 360(round)
2. Samsung gear live (rect.)
3. LG G watch (rect)
Of course we were (and everybody!) Were excited to see Samsung demonstrating smartwatch , but who thought that Motorola would take on both LG and Samsung!
Currently, Motorola moto 360 is most desired watch due to its stylish designs and round shape.
Being tough competitor, LG also made G watch R with round shape.
- Rectangular curved
Its Asus, trying to make something different in this new market .
They combined rectangular watch and round shaped watch in terms of their shapes and brought something new.
Well let's see if they succeed.
- Conclusion
Smartphone era is already going.
Smart watches might surprise us in nearby future.
